Holidays in Florida offer a beautiful subtropical climate, world-renowned theme parks, 800 miles of sandy shores, and the wild scenery of the Everglades. Underwater enthusiasts can explore the historical shipwrecks and the third largest barrier reef in the world. Orlando also boasts a selection of scenic national parks, which are bursting with hiking trails and various outdoor pursuits. The Everglades National Park is an area of subtropical wilderness, and home to a number of species, including the American crocodile, panthers and manatees. The park can be explored by car, on foot, by bicycle or by boat. There are also designated wilderness campsites.
