Well worth a visit is the hill village of Kefalos, with its whitewashed houses, narrow lanes, medieval castle, windmill, and traditional tavernas. Those seeking all-night drinking and dancing can head to Kardamena, with its wealth of bars and discos, which stay open till the sun comes up.
